Money coaching changes the way you think, feel, and act with money. Here are 7 things Bolder's money coaching members want you to know about money, now that they've built healthier relationships with it!

We've helped hundreds of people pay off debt, save money, and more with a dedicated money coach, and our members are the magic behind everything we do. We're constantly listening to their money fears and learning from their progress (and challenges), so we can help as many people as possible do better with their money and live better lives.

Recently, we asked: Now that you're feeling Bolder about your finances, what do you want others to know about money?

We've collected their responses into 7 truth bombs about money that will help you begin to shift your relationship with it, and hopefully make some changes of your own.

Read on for the 7 things our money coaching members want you to know about money:

1. Take shame out of it

Money is not meant to be judgmental. In money coaching, our members learned to let go of their past mistakes, and stop comparing themselves to others, so they can focus on their own progress, and what they want their money to support. Debt does not make you a bad person, nor does not knowing what to do with your money.

2. Money mindset matters

Money coaching addresses the emotional side of money for a reason: The way we think and feel about money drives our behaviors. Reflect not only on your financial choices, but why you've felt and acted the way you have with money.

3. The trick is to enjoy life

Don't worry about suggested 'one-size-fits-all' financial plans off the internet that don't address your unique needs. Set specific goals that reflect your actual lifestyle and dreams. Your money should build the life you want!

4. Budgets don't work

Restrictive spending is like a bad diet: it just doesn't work. Try not to give up anything you love; instead, define your values, and align your money choices (big and small) with what matters most to you. You don't have to punish yourself to reach your goals. If you do have to cut back on some things temporarily, remind yourself how temporary it is, and that you're working towards an abundant future.

5. You are powerful

You are in the driver's seat of your own life, including your money! Like money coaching member Sydney says: "Working with a money coach made me realize that I had the power to do better with my money all along, I just needed someone to guide me, and there's nothing wrong with that." You can commit to changing your life, and you're the only one who can do it!

6. Your pace is the right one

Your money story is unique, and so will be your money journey. Everyone works at their own pace, and there's nothing wrong with you if it takes you three months to do what someone else can accomplish in one. Don't rush, don't feel pressured, just know that you'll get there.

7. Money is not meant to be lonely

"I thought I was the only one who felt this way." - every client ever. Don't keep your money woes to yourself! Someone else is experiencing the same issue, and is waiting to hear they're not alone. Money coaching member Melissa put it best: "I wish I wouldn't have kept myself isolated out of shame, it really kept me from getting help sooner." Embrace a new money community to open up to the possibility of change.
